2008 has been a good one. Actually its going down in my books at the best one yet... it did not start off very well, but its ending on a high that has left me giddy! there is much to be thankful for that happened in 2008, many mile stones and first times. some how it feels like life actually started in 2008 and the last 21 years has just been a slow build up to this climax. needless to say 2009 is going to have to be one hell of a year to top this one. BUT but butttt.....i do have an inkling feeling it will and is going to be SO FUCKING AWESOME!! im exciteddd!!! *cheers* guys to a fantastic year and more fun times to come! PARTY ON!!!!!!

3 continents, 3 lives, 3 days...
its the weirdest feeling in the world.
in just 72 hours i worked in London, partied in Singapore, and had supper with my favourite ppl in the world in perth.

Initially i was kindda bummed at having to leave London cause work was getting really fun and also by the time i get back everyone would have left.

But then i touched down in singapore and had the most AMAZING night at zouk, i loved the club, i loved the drinks, i loved the music, but most of all i loved the company, i just did not want the night to end. i was genuinely happy, euphoric even i dare say... to be back home.

At the same time though, the 20 week countdown was finally over and i got in to perth tonight. The first chance i got when i left perth 5 mths ago was to book a ticket back. guess some how i felt i left in such a rush, i left a lota loose ends that need tending to. But today at the fast eddies, (the only 24 hr diner in perth, where we spent many a night gossping, bitching, just hanging out)i think i received the closure i was looking for. That although it will always be my favourite place in the world, there is no life/love anchor ie. uni/work and marc, that ties me down anymore. And although some of my best and oldest friends live here, Perth is no Hollywood and i am no Paris Hilton and so an agenda of non-stop partying, and not working and/or studying is pretty much not an option.

but until i have to get back to realityy....there is nothing on the agenda but a GOOD TIMEE. hahhahah

Life at The Kent

My appologies for the lack of updates..

Since Spain, life has definitely slowed down alot, most of you already know, ive been working and living at the duke of kent for a while now. It's a pub tucked away the suburb of Ealing in West London, its pretty and quaint, really liking it here!

The living conditions and wage has left much to be desired but hey, i reckon it could be alot worse.

90% of people who work at the pub are uni students back for the summer, so yeh the work environment is young, fun, makes going to work a little less dreadful.

here's pics of some of the ppl who work at the kent.

Manager kerion and Jamie.

group bowling photo.
i heart madrid.

i think im in love.

with the city. the atmosphere. the men. the shopping. its amazing.

staying with a really nice spanish lady here in madrid, which is really great cause you just learn to much about the city you wouldnt otherwise at a regular tourist. she took us around the city yesterday, brought us to popular local food haunts..and showed us the interesting nooks and cranies of the city..saw so much more of the city than just the inside of ZARA, mango, pull and bear and berksha, though i think we have seen not quite enough of.

the summer sale will be the death of me. seriouly busted my bank account this time. the damage, 13 dresses, 5 tops, 1 kintted coat, 1 skirt, etc...really regret shopping in barce though, there were NO SALES...but stuff was still cheap. BUT then we arrive in madrid and prices were slashed 50 - 70%...the 10 euro ZARA tops we bought at La Ramblas were now 5 Euros in SOL.:(

we got here just in time to watch the EURO final. We arrived thinking they were playing on the 1st, but then there were all these ppl clad in spanish jerseys with flags drapped on their shoulders. so yeh went home dropped our bags and headed for Colon (the main square where they were showing the match)30 000 ppl packed into the square, in 35 degree weather, it was hot, it was sweaty but it was AMAZING. the team arrived back in madrid the following day, to a massive party in colon..though we missed it cause we were too busy looking at modern art at the reina sofia. come out to see planes flying overhead, their tails spewing the spanish colours.real pity we missed the open top bus parade.....

now although theres so much more to madrid than just shopping and football, im not going to sit here and reminisce when i can be out there soaking up more local flavourr..

we leave for London tonight. pictures and videos on facebook.

in london

hey all,

so finally arrived in London yesterday morning. Arrives at Heathrow at 7 in the morn and only got to clauds 4 hours later!! lol. we were too cheap to take a 60 pound cab ride so opted for the cheaper 4 pound bus ride instead. BIG mistake. so instead of getting out of the terminal and hopping into a cab that would take us straight to clauds house, we had to take the heathrow express(train thing that connects the terminals) to get to the main terminal, without a trolley!! then take a bus to victoria coach station to meet claud, who was an hour late, then take the damn tube to her place. and omg, the tube stations dont have escalators!! so we had to lug all 35 kg of our luggage up and down the stairs... swear to god nearly died in the process.

Londoners are bloody unhelpful..... they just sorta stare at you and dont even bother helping. buggers. lol.

havent done much yet, except get a phone line and open a bank account, which was surprisingly easy! considering all the horror stories ive heard about trying to open one.

ALL THE TIME! its soooo bloody rude! and im like just sitting there going like wtf? i know them all individually... and when i talk to them one on one we speak in english obviously but omg, put all of them together and i was in translation hell. i got so annoyed trying to communicate with them i just gave up and stopped talking altogether. it was hard too trying to speak to them in english, cause they arent very fluent at it also.

heres a little sample....
9:42:13 PM cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: hey..
cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: i want to ask u ...
pat_2686@hotmail.com: wassup
cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: today i hv hand in my portfolio...
cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: buti dun know am i doing right..
pat_2686@hotmail.com: the news letter planning?
cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: yes la..
pat_2686@hotmail.com: the brief was really vague...
cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: yes la..
cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: thats y i m confusing of that one
cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: that y i call u this afternoon ask for hv a look
cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: but iforget ask u
pat_2686@hotmail.com: lol...thats alright..here it is
pat_2686@hotmail.com: how did you go on ure speech?
cutewing_0608@hotmail.com: no wor..i didnt get back my speech wor..

*edit
justin and george bored too, hijacked my comp.

JUST then we drove past a house, with a pack of boong children clibming onto the back of a beat up truck. yea just so for protection i keep a metal pole behind my bed incase any boongs decided to break in.

till next time. :)

must say though i am missing aussie life.
esp the freedom, no annoying mother to nag at ya.
like its my fault mother finally decided (just when i get back), to do a major clean up.

Im on holiday man! After 6 mths of dish washing, cleaning, and doing my own laundry,
and being totally selfsufficient, which includes, working to pay my own rent, food and bills,
i think i deserve a god damn break!

But nooooo... i come back (upon her request) and get shouted at for not get this - washing other peoples dishes, and "cleaning up" junk which btw, ive been trying to the last 10 years. but every year she'll say " yaya, i will clean everything up by christmas" when that doesnt happen, its by chinese new year. yea well of course that never happened either, and for the last 10 years junk from when we were 3ft high has been rotting away all over the place. doesnt matter she selfishly takes up half of common area for herself, to do her "work" and store her office junk. Boxes upon boxes of god knows what, some of which termites have gotten to, have been sitting in the living room for years. once she even kicked my sister and the maid out of their room and made them sleep im my room so that she could turn their room into her "office" aka more space to store her junk.

you know i wouldnt mind the mess if at least something good came of it, but her answer's always the same "i dont work for money, i work for god." WTF mate!

yea well anyway, yesterday i tried to help, and started throwing stuff away. you know things like... a broken telescope, ermm... a box of used stamps, ermm... used paint sets... used christmas wrapping... a jar of sand.
i dont really see what use these items serve, but i shouted at for throwing them away. So today i didnt help, i merely suggested things to be thrown away, like a mirror stand with no mirror. and again i get shouted at.
and get thrown insults like, "get out of this house" "i pitied you thats why i asked you to come back" "you bring back bad memories" all this from the same mouth that said "come back as soon as possible, dont worry about anything (i was in the middle of getting my licence and i wanted to work save money for a car), just come home first and we'll sort it out."

yea oh well... ok rant over. lol.
later.
